Po’et-tree

As some of you know, I do a bit of spoken word poetry when I’m not running around making cups of tea for people. I had quite a few performances this week, all of them in Ladbroke Grove. It was nice to be in West London for a change, instead of slogging all the way to East as per usual!

I did ‘The Poetry Club’ and an amazing event called ‘WANTED Cabaret’ both at the Inn on the Green in Ladbroke Grove. Then yesterday, I did a spot of filming on Portobello Road which was very fun, albeit bloody freezing! I did an interview with the very charismatic and beautiful Sarah Lamptey, who is a wonderful presenter, then I walked down Portobello Road performing my poem ‘Confession’ which was an experience in itself!

Hopefully the guys who filmed it will have it all edited and finished soon so you (and I) can see it! I filmed another performance and interview for this thing called The Poetry Club (Different from the event that I performed at) so fingers crossed that should be up soon too – all very exciting! I need to get used to answering questions about myself – I’m so used to asking them and being behind the camera, feels kinda self indulgent when I talk about myself for too long LOL.

In the meantime, here are a couple of videos of me doing 2 of my poems. Some of you may have seen them before, but if not – take a look!
